Firefighter Stairclimb wouldn’t be possible without the hundreds of volunteers who generously give their time throughout the year and on event weekend.
Whether you’re cheering on climbers, helping behind the scenes, or welcoming participants, every volunteer plays an important role in creating an unforgettable experience while supporting Blood Cancer United’s mission.

Many of our volunteers return year after year—and we love welcoming new faces, too.
What to Expect
Volunteer shifts typically range from 3 to 8 hours, depending on the role.
As a volunteer, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every participant.
Keep in mind:
- Some roles involve lifting or extended periods of standing.
- You’ll experience the excitement of Firefighter Stairclimb firsthand.
- Water, snacks, breaks, and volunteer support will be provided throughout your shift.

Looking for a meaningful team-building experience?
Volunteer groups are welcome. Whether you’re representing a company, school, community organization, or group of friends, we’d love to have you join us.
Some volunteer areas may already be assigned to long-standing volunteer groups, but new groups are always encouraged to get involved.
