Testimonials

Ryan Seely

“When I first received a mailing from Blood Cancer United promoting their Climb2Cure program, I was hooked. Climbing Kilimanjaro was never on my list but having a daughter that survived pediatric AML and an avid outdoorsman, I knew it was something I had to do. The experience of summiting the tallest mountain in Africa with an amazing group of people, each with their own story and a common goal, was incredible. It left such an impression on me, I returned seven years later with my son and summited again!”

“My family’s history with blood cancer is deeply personal: while my brother and I are survivors, we lost our father and sister to the disease. This loss fuels my passion for supporting Blood Cancer United and the mission to find a cure. Through the Climb2Cure program, I have trekked through Guatemala and Patagonia and am in my happy place while hiking with fellow fundraisers who share the same heart for the mission. Together, we are hiking toward a future where no other family has to endure the pain of blood cancer.
