Hey New York! It's time to join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in creating a world without blood cancers while also getting the chance to climb up and down the iconic steps of Citi Field, home of the New York Mets! On May 18, you'll experience a high energy behind-the-scenes journey through one of the most beautiful ballparks in the nation. You'll climb up and down the steps of the upper tier, run the concourses and finish strong! You gotta believe that this is the best way to see Citi Field AND help LLS save lives while taking on the challenge of a lifetime!
Registration is FREE for all participants up to 30 days before your event. After the 30-day mark, a $50 contribution will apply to go toward the costs of putting on Big Climb events. This contribution is separate from your fundraising total for event participation and incentives.
Once you're checked in on Climb Day you'll get to explore Base Camp, with fun activities for climbers of all ages. Your assigned Climb Time wave will then be led to the upper deck concourse with your team and fellow climbers from your wave. After a brief but powerful Opening Ceremony where you'll hear the stories of why we climb, your wave will head out (and up) into the stadium, where route arrows and cheering volunteers will make sure you know your way.
During your Big Climb experience, you'll see the names and faces of those who have survived a blood cancer diagnosis, and those in our community who we've lost. That motivation will keep you going all the way through the route, and across the finish line to get your medal. All along, a custom high-powered music soundtrack complete with motivational messages plays through the stadium's massive PA system. It's an experience like no other, baseball fan or not, and you don't want to miss it!
As a Climber, we challenge you to fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission. Every step you take helps support blood cancer patients through their diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Eager to race past your $150 fundraising minimum? We're here to support and reward you every step of the way.
Note: Children ages 8-17 who choose to participate in our main climb have a reduced fundraising commitment of $50. Be sure to select this option during registration.
