I am fundraising to share something deeply important to me and invite you to join me in making a difference. I am honored to participate as a 2025 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Visionaries of the Year candidate. LLS is a life-saving organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancers through advocacy, research, and patient care.
While I don’t have a personal connection to anyone affected by blood cancer, I have experienced moments in my life that allow me to relate deeply to those facing these battles of cancer. As a survivor of domestic abuse, there were times when I felt isolated, misunderstood, and uncertain about the future. The sense of navigating an overwhelming challenge and wondering if anyone truly understands.
This connection fuels my passion for becoming a Visionary. I want to stand alongside those impacted by blood cancers, giving them hope and support. My goal is to raise awareness and critical funds to support LLS’s mission, ensuring that patients receive the care they need and that groundbreaking research continues to advance.
My goal for my team, Cure Crusaders is to raise $350,000 and I am asking for your help to make this vision a reality. Whether it’s $50, $500, or $5,000, every dollar brings us closer to a world without cancer. Your contribution will directly support life-saving treatments and programs that provide patients and their families with hope and strength. I have chosen to align my campaign with LLS’ patient support mission pillar because LLS provide FREE educational resources, support, and co-pay services for patients and their families. In 2024, LLS awarded $158 million in co-pay assistance to ensure that nobody is denied treatment because they cannot afford it.
Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of those facing blood cancer. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for considering this opportunity to be part of such meaningful work.
With gratitude and hope,
Amy Malkan
