Help Support Jason Barron & The CUREsaders for Visionary of the Year!
Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,
Most of us have been affected by cancer in some way or another. That is why I am honored to share with you something big that my wife, Shauna, and I have embarked on.
While on vacation in January 2021, Shauna received a call from her doctor. I knew from the look on her face that the news was not what she was expecting and that it was going to be life changing. When she got off the phone, she told me it was a form of cancer. There were many tests and scans the previous year, but we learned that day that Shauna had been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). At 41 years of age, the questions began to flood in.
As Christian believers, we started praying for healing. With Shauna actually working as a Pharmacist in the Oncology area, she was already familiar with different types of treatment. Also, we believe that God provides brilliant minds to create medications for successful treatment and that He is the Almighty Healer.
Shauna began Immunotherapy treatment with a medication called Gazyva every 4 weeks (which she completed August 2022) along with an oral medication called Venclexta in April 2022. Currently, her Oncologist is happy with her progress and will complete the Venclexta March 23, 2023, the day of the campagin kickoff! Not long after her treatment began, I knew I needed to be an advocate for families going through the same diagnosis. So, I made a decision to donate a percentage of my Real Estate commission to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). When I shared this update with a close friend, whose granddaughter is a pediatric leukemia survivor, she nominated me as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!s (LLS) "2023 Visionaries of the Year.” I am honored and humbled to accept my nomination and to help represent not only my wife, but also thousands of others fighting a blood disease. As the largest non-profit funder of blood cancer research, LLS utilizes funds raised to advance treatments for other forms of cancers as well.
This is a one-time, once in a lifetime candidacy! I am asking you for your support and generous donations during this 10 week campaign beginning March 23 - June 2, 2023. Every dollar raised is one vote. My campaign goal is $500,000. Together we can make a difference! Help us in continuing to fund brilliant minds that will create medications for successful treatments, like the ones that have worked for Shauna.
Although the campaign for individual contributors does not start until March, I am currently trying to secure corporate sponsorships and private commitments, so that my team, The CUREsaders, can start the campaign strong. There are many benefits to corporate sponsorships and private donations, which are all tax deductible. Also, if you or someone you know would be willing to donate goods or services for auction items, we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions at 318-237-6518 or jbarron184@gmail.com. We cannot do this without YOUR help!

Visionaries look to the future--and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo--and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world--and lead the charge to create it.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on this same vision--of a better world--one without blood cancers.
This year, I am proud to be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Visionaries of the Year campaign as a team member, working to make the largest impact possible for LLS's mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
Please consider supporting this organization by making a contribution to my campaign, and by sharing the link to my page with your network. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. For more information on LLS, please visit www.LLS.org
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support.
