Hi Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. The pictures above are my "why" to continue the fight against blood cancer. Justin Regan, one of the many incredible patients I've had the pleasure of working with (High Risk MDS Survivor). Joe Street, close friend (Burkitts Lymphoma), who tragically passed away in 2023 from his disease. My amazing team that I get to work with here at Colorado Blood Cancer Institute - their passion and love for our patients is unmatched!
I am truly honored to have been nominated by Justin for Leukemia Lymphoma Society's Visionary of the Year campaign. Justin and I became fast friends while he was hospitalized during his two bone marrow transplants, initially we talked mostly about nutrition and our goal to keep his body (and mind) as strong as we could for the fight of his life. We then connected over our love of reading and I was quickly drawn to his passion, positivity, resilence and creativity. My husband and I have been to number of his shows (he's a brilliant actor in addition to being a great father, husband, oncology nurse navigator and friend), and have been consistantly inspired by the way he lives his life... out loud! So to honor Justin and many other patients bravery in the face of adversity, I will proudly accept this nomination and do my best to raise money for the LLS and join the fight to end blood cancer.
Visionaries look to the future--and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo--and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world--and lead the charge to create it.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on this same vision--of a better world--one without blood cancers.
This year, I am proud to be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Visionaries of the Year campaign as a team member, working to make the largest impact possible for LLS's mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
