Hi, I’m Allen—and no, I didn’t plan on doing this. A friend nominated me for LLS’s Visionary of the Year campaign, and I thought… why not? This campaign is about more than just fundraising. It’s about showing up—for the families going through treatment, for the kids and adults waiting on breakthrough therapies, and for the people who need support right now. I’m raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to fund research, patient support, and real-world impact. Every dollar donated helps families today—and moves us closer to better treatments and one day, cures. Whether you give $10 or $100, you’re part of this mission with me. So—why not donate? |
When I got the nomination, I didn’t have some dramatic moment of clarity. No deep speech. No grand plan. Just a simple thought:
“Why not?”
That question turned into a team, a campaign, and a mission to raise as much as we can for something that matters.
The truth is—we’ve all been affected by cancer. Whether it’s a family member, a friend, a coworker, or even just watching someone go through it from afar… it leaves a mark. And while I don’t have a personal story tied to blood cancer, I do believe in showing up for people who need help.
This campaign isn’t just about one disease. LLS-funded research has led to breakthroughs in treatments for other cancers too, and the support services they provide help families in more ways than most people realize.
So I’m doing my part—with a team that’s rallying, fundraising, and putting on a few fun events along the way.
If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could do something,” this is that something.
No amount is too small. Every dollar moves the mission forward.
