WELCOME TO MY TEAM IN TRAINING (TNT) HOME PAGE - Oct. 19th Bird Shirt Brew Crawl
13 Years ago . . .
It was a few months after I had returned to SDSU. It was a few weeks into living with a group of brand new friends. My leg pain had grown and I was taking a ton of advil and painkillers to walk and sleep. Finally, after getting a fuzzy x-ray from my first doctor, and a mass-filled MRI from my second, I received the call that I had stage 4A Lymphoma in the bones of my left hip.
Luckily for me, the amazing people of TNT had been running and riding for over a decade already raising funds, specially raising funds to help doctors get Rituxan approved. It was one of the many drugs that helped to put my cancer in remission. It took 6 months of chemo and a T-cell therapy with a three-week hospital stint, but on July 6th 2007 I got the remission diagnosis.
I'm still thankful for every doctor, nurse, surgeon, friend, family-member, person-on-the-street, who supported and encouraged me.
I'm starting this fundraising pub-crawl to combine two things I love: Raising Funds to help eradicate Cancer and cheersing all those that fight and fought this battle before me, and those that will in the future.
IF YOU'D LIKE TO ATTEND THE PUB CRAWL, GRAB A TICKET HERE!
I'M TRYING TO EXCEED $1200.00 ($100 FOR EACH YEAR REMISSION).
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! GO TEAM!
