We are walking in the memory of our friend, Whitney Van Dyke.
Whitney was diagnosed with AML in March of last year and died in September. She was working hard and raising money for the Light the Night event last year when her liver failed from all of the chemotherapy treatments she endured. She was so disappointed that she couldn't attend the event. She got to see some of the pictures and a video of the event before she left us. That was the last night she talked to us.
A comment was made by one of the doctors in those last couple of days that he was sorry, but the science isn't good. More research is desperatley needed to find a cure.
My wish for the world is that no other parent has to endure the pain and suffering of watching their child's life shortened by leukemia.
It's up to you and me, we have to fund this research!!!
Please make a donation and check my Web site frequently to see my progress.
Thank you for bringing us all closer to living in a world without blood cancers!
