Cheer Team
Pump up our riders and cheer them on along the route! You will be provided with cowbells, pom poms, and other noisemakers. We will station you in groups along the route and at rest stops. Bring a strong set of lungs and a lot of spirit!
Clean-up Team
At LLS, we like to leave each location the way we found it. We supply our own garbage containers and a truck that sweeps the end of the route to gather all our refuse. Help is needed packing up a venue and preparing for the garbage truck’s arrival.

Finish Line
We need full support at our finish lines. Volunteers will be designated to help with the following tasks: handing out chocolate milk, wet towels, handing out water, etc.
Meal Support
Within this 2-day ride, there are 6 meals! Serving help and clean-up are needed for each meal.
Medical/First Aid
EMTs, Paramedics, nurses & doctors are all welcome to join the team! Basic first aid kits are supplied, but any additional medical equipment is welcomed. Medical teams are stationed at every rest stop and at the end of each day
Mission Tent
Educate spectators and riders about LLS’s mission and our fight against blood cancer. You will also be responsible for Mission Garden sales and keeping the Mission Garden in order. Mission tent positions are available on Saturday evening in Manitowoc.
Rest Stop Support
There are multiple rest stops on our route! Each is fully stocked with water & sports drink, fruit, and other sweet & salty snacks to replenish the riders! Volunteers are needed to keep the tables stocked! Please note: some lifting is involved when working the rest stops.
SAG Wagon Drivers
Throughout the ride, vehicles span the course keeping an eye on the riders. These are LLS designated official event SAG vehicles. Carrying riders to upcoming rest stops, calling for medical support, alerting staff to possible hazardous conditions are only some of the duties a SAG driver will perform. They are out on the course when the first rider leaves until the last rider comes in.
Start Line (Mequon)
In Mequon on the morning of the ride, help is needed to get the 1250+ riders squared away. They will need to park, check-in, pick up route maps, drop off their luggage, turn in their fundraising and eat a hearty breakfast. All of these tasks are made easier with the guidance of great volunteers. This is a Saturday morning commitment.
Traffic Control
Throughout the ride, we will have various intersections that will need some monitoring to help get our riders across safely as we are on the open road.
Truck Drivers
The trucks we use do not require a CDL license, but experience with moving trucks is preferred. This is a 2-day commitment.
Truck Assistant
We need people to assist drivers in transporting meals, rest stop supplies
