PRE-RIDE 

Hotels:
Riders are responsible for booking their own hotel rooms for the weekend. We highly recommend you book early to be closest to the Day 1 start area in Mequon and Day 2 start area in Manitowoc. You can find a list of hotels here.

Things To Do Around Milwaukee

Bike Transportation:
For those of you who are traveling from out of town and not driving with a bike rack, we have partnered with Wheel & Sprocket (Assembly) and Bike Flight (Shipping) to offer a bike shipment service. 

  1. Go to Bike Flights (CLICK HERE) and set up your bike shipping. Be sure to choose ‘Round-Trip’ in the left-hand side drop down and include the return shipping label. Your bike must be delivered to Wheel & Sprocket Bay View by Wednesday, July 16th to allow time for assembly.

  1. Contact Wheel & Sprocket Bay View at 414-234-5500 to discuss shipment, assembly, and pricing, and if you’d like to pick up your bike at the store or have it delivered to the start line on Saturday
  2. Enjoy your 2-day ride 
  3. At the finish line, drop your bike with Wheel & Sprocket to be disassembled and shipped back home for you! 

**If you do not use the Wheel & Sprocket service, you will be responsible for getting yourself and your bike to the start line on Saturday morning.

Day 1 Start:
Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) – Mequon Campus

*You will have the choice to camp outdoors at Red Arrow Park (Free), camp indoors at YMCA (Free) or rent a hotel room (At Rider’s Expense)

DAY 1 START LINE (MATC)

Arrival Time: 6:00 AM
Mission Program: 7:15 AM at Start Line
75/100 Mile Start: 7:30 AM (25-miler will start after all 75/100 milers leave) 

Will Call/Packet Pickup:
If you did not receive your packet by mail, there will be a Will Call area on Saturday morning to pick up your packets, or potentially any missing contents. 

Luggage Drop: 
There will be luggage drop areas around MATC. You will receive bag tags with the first letter of your last name to put on each piece of luggage you bring, and our luggage trucks will bring them up to Manitowoc for your overnight stay. 

Donation Tent:
If you have any last-minute checks, you can stop by our donation tent located directly next to Will Call. 

Last Minute Questions?
There will be an information booth where our staff will be willing to help answer questions or troubleshoot simple problems. 

Breakfast:
There will be a light continental breakfast that will open at 6:00 AM. 

 

DAY 1 FINISH LINE (RED ARROW PARK)

Dinner Service: 3:30-6:00 PM
Celebration Program: 6:00-6:30 PM
Single Day Rider Bus to Mequon: Approx. 6:45 PM
Pizza Service: 7:00-8:00 PM
Last Shuttle: 9:30 PM 

Bike Corral:
When you finish your ride, you can drop off your bike at our guarded overnight bike corral. This area will be monitored by security the entire time it’s there. You can then pick it up first thing in the morning for your Day 2 ride. 

Shuttle Service:
Shuttle service to area hotels and the YMCA will go from 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM. Just tell the person at the bus stop which hotel you are staying at in the Manitowoc area, and they will make sure you get on the correct bus.

Showers:
Showers will be available on site at Lincoln High School. Please bring your own towel as towels will not be provided.

Mission Area:
Come visit our Mission Area where you can honor those that have been impacted by blood cancer as well as learn how your fundraising is impacting people across the country!! 

 

DAY 2 START LINE (RED ARROW PARK)

Arrival Time: 6:00 AM
Ride Start: 7:30 AM 

Luggage Drop: 
Drop your luggage where you picked it up on Saturday night, and all luggage will be brought to Sturgeon Bay. 

Breakfast:
There will be a hot breakfast that will open at 6:00 AM. 

Will Call/Packet Pickup:
If you did not receive your packet by mail, there will be a Will Call area on Sunday morning for Sunday 1-Day riders.

There will be an information booth where our staff will be willing to help answer questions or troubleshoot simple problems. 

 

DAY 2 FINISH LINE (JOHN MILES PARK)

Tailgate: 12:00-5:00 PM
Last Shower Shuttle: 4:45 PM
Last Coach Bus: Approximately 5:30 PM 

Bike Transport:
When you finish, you will immediately load your bike onto one of our bike transport trucks which are color coded. You will receive a tag that has the color truck and announcements will be made when that truck leaves Sturgeon Bay so you know when to get on a shuttle. 

Coach Bus Service:
Collect your luggage and take one of our coach buses back to MATC or Manitowoc. First bus will leave around 2:30 PM and the last bus will leave around 5:30 PM. Bus back to MATC will be 2.5-3 hours long. 

Luggage Pickup: 
You will collect your luggage in the luggage area and take with you on the coach bus service back to Manitowoc or Mequon. 

Onsite Showers:
There will be two (2) male and two (2) female showers available at the Finish Line. Please bring your own towel and limit your shower time to 5 minutes.  

Tailgate:
The finish line tailgate will have brats, hamburgers, salad, roasted corn and more!

 

REST STOPS AND LUNCH

-Rest Stops will be available every 10-15 miles on the route and will be fully stocked with water, hydration packets, snacks, etc. 

-Lunch will be served each day at Rest Stop #4 

-Rest Stops DO NOT open until 7:30 AM each day 

SAG AND ROUTE SUPPORT

-We have approximately 15 approved event vehicles to support our riders. Personal or Team SAG Vehicles are not allowed on the route. Only Scenic Shore approved vehicles should be on route to support riders 

-SAG/Route Support does not start until 7:30 AM each day 

-You can request support through the Phone Number on your rider wristband, or through our TraQCentral App
