What are the health & safety protocols? We ask all riders to respect each other by frequently sanitizing and maintaining social distance. Facial coverings are optional. We no longer require a wellness screening or vaccine verification.
  • We have added extra hand washing stations and you will find hand sanitizer at all locations
  • Food at rest stops will be individually wrapped or set in individual containers.
  • Coach busses will have the ability to be socially distanced. If riders wish to sit alone due to social distancing concerns this option will be available
  • There will be two designated busses for those who wish to ride a bus that is fully masked. Riding these busses will be optional as all riders will be fully masked. (this has been approved by legal as it is optional and an opportunity)

REGISTRATION

I am no longer able to attend the bike tour, how do I drop from the ride? If for some reason, you need to drop from the Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour, you must submit a Dropped Rider Form. Please click here to submit the form online. Riders will not be dropped from the bike tour until a Dropped Rider Form is received by our offices. If you are unable to access the Dropped Rider Form by clicking the above link, please contact the SS150 team at (262) 785-4272 or scenicshore150@lls.org. Riders who do not fill out the official drop form will be responsible for meeting their $400 ($300 for youth riders and $50 for 25-mile riders) minimum fundraising requirement. All riders who submit a Dropped Rider Form will receive confirmation from our office. Forms must be received by July 1st, 2022. The only exception to this deadline is if a rider needs to drop for a medical reason and can provide a doctor’s certification. If I need to drop from the ride, can I transfer my registration to someone else? Yes, you may transfer your registration to someone else. Space is available on the Dropped Rider Form to include information on the person that will be replacing you. Please note the new rider will now be responsible for meeting the fundraising minimum. I need to drop and do not have a replacement, but my friend/family member is still riding. Can I transfer any pledges I've received to their account? Unfortunately, no, any pledges you raised prior to dropping from the bike tour cannot be transferred to another rider. I need to drop from the ride, can I transfer my registration to next year? Unless you are dropping for a medical reason and have a doctor's certification you cannot transfer your registration to next year. Your registration is, unfortunately, non-refundable. If you are dropping for a medical reason and provide us with a doctor's certification then you may transfer your registration to next year. When will I receive my rider materials and what materials will I receive? Every rider that meets their fundraising minimum, $400 ($300 for youth riders and $50 for the 25-mile route), will receive a rider packet. Your rider packet will be mailed out to the address you registered with. Your rider packet will contain the following items:
  • Rider Number: Your rider number allows us to identify you on the course. Please attach to the back of your shirt/jersey with the safety pins provided.
  • Bike Number/ bike chip: This is to attach to your front of your bike. In order to make sure that we have accurate records of which riders have left and returned each day of the bike tour, we ask you to please attach the included bike chip and bike chip holder to your bike.
  • Wristband for the Weekend: This will be your meal/drink ticket for the entire weekend. If you need to purchase additional wristbands for family members or friends joining you on the ride, they can be purchased online closer to the event date.
  • Luggage Tag Wristband: Included are two wristbands corresponding with the first letter of your last name. These will be used for your luggage. Please attach the tags somewhere on your luggage so that we can identify your last initial for easy organization and transport. You will be able to pick up your luggage in Manitowoc and Sturgeon Bay by last name. Additional wristbands will be available at the info booths.
  • Safety Pins: These are included to attach your rider number to your shirt/jersey.
  • Schedule of Events: Included is a schedule of events for the Scenic Shore 150 weekend. It includes the time of meals, entertainment, shuttle times, etc.

How do I turn in offline donations (cash or checks)? Your name must be included with your mailing to make sure your funds are credited to you. You are now able to deposit checks with a smartphone. Click here for step-by-step directions. Who should checks be made out to? Please make all checks out to, "The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society." What do I do if my family member/friend made the check out to me instead? No worries! Please just sign the check over to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society before turning it in. Can additional donations be turned in at the event? Additional gifts are always welcomed the weekend of the bike tour; however, your fundraising minimum of $400 ($300 for youth riders & $50 for 25-mile riders) is due to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's office by July 1st, 2023. Your fundraising minimum can be made up of online donations, as well as checks mailed to the office. Please mail any checks or matching donation forms to be included in the minimum fundraising by July 1st, 2023.

What happens if I don’t reach my minimum fundraising commitment by July 1st or I registered after July 1st? Riders that have not yet reached their commitment by July 1st will have the opportunity put a credit card on hold and continue fundraising. Cards will be charged post event on August 1st. The link to the secure commitment form to hold your card will be emailed to all riders that have not yet reached their commitment.

Someone asked me for a receipt for their donation, where can I get one? Please print out and complete a Donation Receipt to give to your donor.

TRAVEL

Which airport should we fly into? The start of the ride is closest to General Mitchell International Airport. More information can be found here. Where should we book overnight accommodations? If you live outside the Milwaukee area and would like to stay near the start of the ride, here are a few hotels that are close and convenient. You are responsible for the cost of your stay at the hotel. What are some fun things to do around Milwaukee? From breweries & restaurants to museums & zoos, there's plenty to do in Metro Milwaukee! LOGISTICS

Have the routes changed this year? The route is subject to change due to construction. More information will be available when the route map is released. What time does the bike tour start each morning? Is it a mass start? In the past, the ride officially starts at 7:30 a.m. The start is very relaxed, as the Mequon roads are not closed off for our event. We will not have rest stops open before 7:30 a.m. and all riders must be on the route by 8:00 a.m. Please check back for updates to the start procedure and start times for 2023. Is there a place we can park our car at MATC-Mequon on Saturday morning? Yes, there is overnight parking available at MATC where you can leave your car, so most riders just drive themselves over to MATC and leave their cars there. After the bike tour concludes on Sunday afternoon, transportation will be provided for you, your bike and your luggage back to MATC in Mequon (the cost is included in your registration fee). One day riders that choose to ride on Sunday only will be transported back to Manitowoc. What happens if it rains? Rain itself will not cancel the ride, however; lightning will delay it. Please pay attention to warnings from staff and volunteers. Should you find yourself in an electrical storm, please refer to your route map for instructions. Are we responsible for our own meals? All meals are included. You will need to select (in the questions) if you are joining us for Saturday dinner. If you chose to have dinner off-campus, you may elect to donate your dinner back to the LLS mission. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all the riders and volunteers. We will also provide snacks on Saturday night. Family members joining you will need to have purchased a wristband prior to the event to participate in the meal. Will there be E-bike charging stations available? New to the Scenic Shore 150 this year, Wheel & Sprocket will be offering an Ebike charging concierge service. Riding by Ebike is a great, fun way to ride 150 miles. They can accommodate most major bike   shop quality Ebikes such as Trek, Specialized, Giant, Tern, Riese & Muller, etc.  Riders are encouraged to ride with an extra battery. Complete details including which stops will have stations will be sent prior to the ride. Is there a bus available from Sturgeon Bay to Manitowoc? Yes, we have coach bus return service to either Manitowoc (mid-point) or Manitowoc (mid-point). If you would like to change which bus you would like to take, please contact us at scenicshore150@lls.org What do I do with my bike overnight at Manitowoc? We have bike racks and overnight security guards to watch your bike for you. You do not need to transport it to your hotel.
