Can’t make it to the Shred For Red weekend on March 28? Go virtual!

 

No worries — you can still hit the slopes your way! Whether you’re carving fresh lines at your local mountain, shredding your favorite resort with friends, or logging laps on your hometown hill, you can join the movement virtually and make every turn count toward a cure.

 

 

How to participate virtually

Register and select the “Virtual Participation” option. This will set you up with a fundraising page and connect you with our skier community.

Then – choose your own snow adventure! Here are a few ideas to get started:

• Host your own ‘Shred’ day: Pick a day this season to ski or snowboard at your favorite resort. Invite friends, family, or coworkers to join your “virtual team” and celebrate your Shred For Red spirit wherever you are!
• Set a Seasonal Goal: Challenge yourself to ski or ride X number of days this winter — every run counts! Track your progress, share updates on social, and tag us to show your support.
• Get Creative: Can’t get to the slopes? Strap on some cross-country skis, hit your local sledding hill, log some miles on a snow mobile, or even host a “dryland” Shred day — hiking, biking, or working out in your ski gear totally counts (bonus points for creativity!).

 

Fundraising made easy (and fun!)

While there’s no required fundraising minimum, every dollar makes a difference! Think of your fundraising as aspirational — set a goal that inspires you, and we’ll help you reach it. Whether it’s $50 or $5,000, every lift ride and run helps fuel lifesaving blood cancer research and patient support.

 

Choose from three ways to register

• Create a team. Oh yeah, this is the good stuff! Invite all of your people to join you! Teams can have members who are participating virtually along with those participating in person – either is fine! Teams work towards a team fundraising goal and keep each other motivated, and it’s a great way to share in the excitement with others.
• Join a team. If your team captain has already started your fundraising team, simply search for the team name while registering to add yourself to the roster.
• Participate as an individual. That’s fine, too! If you don’t have any ski buddies to join with you, you’re able to register as an individual. Let us know if you’d like to be connected with other individuals to sync up to form a team!
