At Big Climb, you’re not climbing alone. Every step you take supports life-saving research and helps families facing blood cancer. We’ll provide the tools, support, and incentives to keep you motivated all season long. 

Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) is proud to bring you new resources to make fundraising and recruitment easier than ever. Check back often—this page will be updated as new brand-aligned tools roll out. 

FUNDRAISING TIPS

  1. Ask more than once
    It often takes several asks before someone donates. Stay persistent! Try our ready-to-use donation request templates. 
  2. Double your impact with company matching
    Many companies match employee donations. Use our company match lookup tool to see if your supporters can make their gifts go twice as far.
  3. Build a social media plan
    Use our social media toolkit or create your own posts. Share photos, videos, or a personal message that inspires your community to take action. Check back often—this page will be updated as new brand-aligned tools roll out. 
  4. Share your “why”
    Tell your story—or use our 2026 National Honored Heroes. Their stories are a powerful way to explain why this climb matters. 
  5. Host a fundraising event
    Make it fun! Try a bake sale, a challenge, or even a dunk tank. Use our event flyer template to spread the word. 
  6. Tap into your network
    Know a business that wants to help? Share our Sponsor My Climb sheet and invite them to join your impact. 
  7. Say thank you
    A simple thank-you note shows donors their support truly matters.

Ask personally
Invite people one-on-one and explain why it matters to you. Use our email templates or share an invitation on social media. 

Cast a wide net
Ask coworkers, friends, family, gym buddies, or club members. Post our recruitment poster in places like break rooms or community boards. You can request one from your local Big Climb staff.
