On March 25th, 2019, at just 4 months old, Vivian was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She was admitted to the hospital and began treatment that evening. Although she was able to achieve remission after a little over a month, the celebration didn’t last long and she quickly relapsed. In September 2019, Vivian received a new treatment, CAR T-Cell therapy, where her own cells were re-engineered to fight the leukemia. She is a Leukemia survivor and is currently 3 years in remission from ALL! Vivian is a beautiful, smart, courageous and fun-loving little girl. She loves to read, sing, have dance parties, play outside -especially picking acorns, and watch movies like “minions”, “pets 2” and “the grinch”. Her favorite foods include pot roast, chicken noodle soup, cheese tortellinis and waffles with peanut butter. Without funding for research on these new treatments, like CAR T-Cell therapy, we would not have our beautiful girl here with us today.
