On June 13th, from coast-to-coast, we climb as one.
When the big day arrives, we’ll gather together to watch a short and inspiring Opening Ceremony broadcast via Zoom at 9 a.m. Eastern, 9 a.m. Central and 9 a.m. Pacific Times. Zoom links were emailed to all registered climbers via bigclimb@lls.org. If you’ve earned a t-shirt and bib, be sure to wear them and take lots of photos before, during, and after your climb!
At the conclusion of the ceremony, we’ll invite you to climb the Salesforce Tower your way, whether it’s on a stairway or chair in your home, up staircases in your city or neighborhood (if allowed by local laws) or by taking strides on a walk. We hope you take your custom-designed LLS Big Virtual Climb soundtrack with you, complete with great music and motivational messages to keep you going.
While you’re climbing, be sure to post to your social channels and use #BigVirtualClimb and #ClimbConquerCure so your posts feed into our interactive finisher festival. You can find out more in our social toolkit here.
When you’re done with your climb, come on back to our finisher page to celebrate with the rest of the nation and experience our virtual finisher festival. There you’ll see thank you messages, be able to see your virtual medal, see a live view from the top of San Francisco’s Salesforce Tower and more. And of course, if you earned a physical medal that was sent to you in the mail, wear that proudly all day long (or even longer)!
