All participants will be charged a registration fee that will not count towards your fundraising total for incentives. The registration fee is $40 until March 29th but increases to $50 on March 30th until event day.
Is there a fundraising minimum?
There is no fundraising minimum, but all Big Climb participants are encouraged to fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission. In 2022, Big Climb participants raised an average of $600. Set your goal and get started today!
Where do my donations go?
All donations from Big Climb help support the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to help improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
When is the fundraising deadline?
To receive a Big Climb Tech T-shirt, you must reach $250 raised prior to the event day. You also have the opportunity to continue to fundraise after the event to further support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure blood cancer. The more you raise, the more you are rewarded. Check out the recognition page for more information.
What is the age minimum allowed to climb?
The National guidance is 8 years or older to climb, however we are leaving it up to the parents/guardian’s judgement. All children will be required to climb with an adult. All participants will sign a waiver. No exceptions.
How do teams work?
When you sign up as a team, you are signing up to climb at the same time slot. Your team captain will submit preferences, when prompted by LLS, for climb times and the whole team climbs during that time. No exceptions.
Can I change my start time?
No. All start times are final. No exceptions.
When will wave times be assigned?
Wave times to be released about 1 week prior to the event, via email to the team and/or individual.
What time does the event start?
Event check-in and registration open at 8:30 a.m. The first wave will start at 9am and waves will start every 15-20 minutes following.
Where can I park?
Paid parking is available at Los A, located at 74 Mission Rock St. You may also park in any other paid garage nearby or in one of the limited metered street parking spots available. SpotHero can be used to find and secure parking near Oracle ahead of time.
Can I take public transportation to/from the event?
The N-Muni line is accessible just steps from the stadium entrance at the 2nd & King Station.
Where do I enter Oracle Park?
Enter through 3rd Street on the San Francisco Bay Trail near Seal Plaza Statue.
Can I bring anything with me during the climb other than my phone?
Only phones are allowed in the stadium while climbing.
Is there a bag check area provided?
Yes, there is a bag check area where climbers can safely store their belongings.
What time should I arrive?
30-45 minutes prior to your assigned start time. Please take into consideration the time it will take you to find parking.
Where do I line up for my climb time?
Announcements will be made 15 minutes prior to your start time.
Where are water stops?
There will be water stops placed throughout the stadium.
Will there be any activities after the climb?
After tackling the steps of Oracle, grab a water bottle at our Hyradtion Station and head to the Post-Climb Festival Area. Be sure to visit the Why I Climb Wall, Team Photos Booth, the Stretch Tent, Dare to Dream, and much more! Additionally, each 21+ participant will receive 2 drinks in our Beer and Wine Garden. You must have your ID to drink. The Beer and Wine Garden will close at 2pm.
Will food be available at the event?
Fruit, granola bars, and water will be available for all climbers. All eligible participants ($1000+ fundraisers, sponsor, Executive Challenge participants) gain entry into our VIP Summer Club where they can enjoy a breakfast burrito and other light snacks.
Can my friends and family wait for me at the finish line?
Your friends and family are welcome to come and cheer you on. However, only registered climbers can enter the Beer and Wine Garden.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, dogs and other animals are not allowed at the event.
